I don't think fricken or fricking or friggen is bad at all! I DO however HATE it when people say "what the F?" I know some people that say that on a daily basis, and it drives me crazy, I just want to say, "why don't you just say the freakin F word- cause that's what goes through my mind when you say, "what the f". So annoying, but when I hear freaking- I think freaking, I don't think of the F word. "friggen" doesn't offend me, I just think it's annoying sounding- I don't like it, but I don't think it's offensive at all.

I am personally a little offended by any words that sound like a substitute for a curse word. I do very much like it better then the actual word though! It falls into the same category as "Gosh, darn..." etc. I try not to use ANY of them, but I do slip some times ;)

i think they are fine. I don't personally say them, but not because I'm opposed to them, I just like other words better when I am upset :)

I say them--probably shouldn't, but I do. I agree with Sarah about substituting words as curse words. It's easier for her to not do it though cuz she's never cursed! Alas, I have a checkered friggin' past. ;)

it definately gives emphasis on what youre trying to say. i agree that you shouldnt really subsitude them with curse words, but its still better. it would be even better to come up with your own words to use, that dont sound like curse words at all

Ha, ha, what a funny topic. I haven't heard that word in forever. I'm not offended at all, it sounds JUST LIKE "freakin" which I say ALL THE TIME so it's no big deal to me. It reminds me of Utah and to be honest it sort of sounds immature to me, but that's probably because the last time I heard it I was 19 or so. But it's just one of those words that becomes a habit.
