What we've been up to

Over the past few months we've

-Been in the process of buying a house....we get the keys tomorrow! Woohee!
-Jet and I go on a walk with the doggies every day.
-Chad's job has been going great. The hours are long, but we're adjusting. I don't think I ever said that he's a car salesman. He really likes it. He likes it a lot more than teaching....lol. I would like to say that he is honest, and free from hair shellac, a cheesy smile and a plaid sportscoat.
-I've been practicing writing and studying analyzing literature. I love reading books about people who love books, and books about reading books. LOL. I love writing books too. My mind feels invigorated and sharpened.
-I performed my Lounge Singer act in the Ward Talent show. It gave me an excuse to wear my red sequin dress, and sing corny songs like I always do when I'm getting ready in the morning.
-I took a parenting class with Jet. I'm armed with much more info about how to raise a great little boy. But, I still have to keep reviewing the information. It's not natural yet. I'm enjoying teaching Jet, and being his mom. He's such a sweetheart, and loves to laugh. He's also goofy, like Chad and me. I love it!
-We saw WICKED!!! Amazing! I knew the music, but didn't know the plot. It was such a profound story about what/who is considered good and what/who is considered wicked. I almost teared up when the "witch" was flying. It was just such an powerful theatrical moment!

A couple months ago, Jet and I got in the snow before it melted. All he wanted to do was play basketball. The boy is obsessed.
Jet and I go out with the dogs every day. I love that he gets outside every day, and we just explore. He knows how to just enjoy being outside, instead of just being on a playground.

When it's sunny, we like to sit outside and feed the dogs some Cheerios. It's a hoot how they scramble to get 1 cheerio.

I only turned my back for a little while, but it was long enough for him to get this STUCK around his head. Grandpa had to SAW IT OFF! Traumatizing.
Grandma Stephens took us to see the ducks and chicks at Wilco. The baby poofums!
Chad was trying to convince me to get a duck. Um Chad, we have bird hunting dogs. Not a good idea.
Lovin' the flowers. I'm over winter.

On Chad's days off, we always go on a family walk. It's the best way to get away from the world and slow down.

I love my family!
