Over the past few months we've
-Been in the process of buying a house....we get the keys tomorrow! Woohee!
-Jet and I go on a walk with the doggies every day.
-Chad's job has been going great. The hours are long, but we're adjusting. I don't think I ever said that he's a car salesman. He really likes it. He likes it a lot more than teaching....lol. I would like to say that he is honest, and free from hair shellac, a cheesy smile and a plaid sportscoat.
-I've been practicing writing and studying analyzing literature. I love reading books about people who love books, and books about reading books. LOL. I love writing books too. My mind feels invigorated and sharpened.
-I performed my Lounge Singer act in the Ward Talent show. It gave me an excuse to wear my red sequin dress, and sing corny songs like I always do when I'm getting ready in the morning.
-I took a parenting class with Jet. I'm armed with much more info about how to raise a great little boy. But, I still have to keep reviewing the information. It's not natural yet. I'm enjoying teaching Jet, and being his mom. He's such a sweetheart, and loves to laugh. He's also goofy, like Chad and me. I love it!
-We saw WICKED!!! Amazing! I knew the music, but didn't know the plot. It was such a profound story about what/who is considered good and what/who is considered wicked. I almost teared up when the "witch" was flying. It was just such an powerful theatrical moment!
A couple months ago, Jet and I got in the snow before it melted. All he wanted to do was play basketball. The boy is obsessed.
Jet and I go out with the dogs every day. I love that he gets outside every day, and we just explore. He knows how to just enjoy being outside, instead of just being on a playground.
When it's sunny, we like to sit outside and feed the dogs some Cheerios. It's a hoot how they scramble to get 1 cheerio.
I only turned my back for a little while, but it was long enough for him to get this STUCK around his head. Grandpa had to SAW IT OFF! Traumatizing.
Grandma Stephens took us to see the ducks and chicks at Wilco. The baby poofums!
Chad was trying to convince me to get a duck. Um Chad, we have bird hunting dogs. Not a good idea.
Lovin' the flowers. I'm over winter.
On Chad's days off, we always go on a family walk. It's the best way to get away from the world and slow down.
I love my family!

So exciting about getting a house! Can't wait to see pictures. I love that you get out with Jett and walk everyday. I really need to be better about that too(for my sake and for my poor dogs :) Congrats to Chad on getting a job he likes. It does make alot of difference to be happy in your profession, and nothing wrong with being a car salesman :)
Great blog! So are you getting the house you put an offer on when you were over at my house before we moved? Can't wait to see pics and what you do with your decor. How exciting! I wish we could get a house! That is hilarious about Jet getting that thing around his head and having to saw it off!!! How funny. That's cool that you took a parenting class. Reading about reading- interesting. I've been in a history funk lately with reading. That's really cool that you're keeping up on your literature skills. It is amazing how just reading once makes me feel smarter- ha. I feel like my vocabulary gets so weak, and then I read for even 25 minutes- and i feel like it makes a huge difference! ha. I have only just been able to start reading again, had no desire after school. Life sounds good for you right now, I'm glad :) I love you! miss you. Oh- and I"m glad CHad's job is going well! Loved your comment on the stereo typical care salesman- ha, we all know he wears a plaid sports jacket :)
I would just absolutely LOVE IT if you came to aerobics!! I'm just teaching at the Market Street Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30!! Except for tonight, I can't do it, so don't come tonight hahaa! I would love to see you! And yeah, I was talking about Aliya from SHS! As soon as she's all recovered from her baby I want her to come too!
